Michael E. Plunkett

Michael is Of Counsel to the Firm and leads the Firm’s corporate and transactional practice, focusing on business and corporate law.

Michael handles and oversees mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions; the formations of new companies; complex commercial agreements; limited liability company, shareholder, partnership, and joint venture agreements; and shareholder relations, including buyouts and transfers. 

Throughout his legal career of more than 25 years starting with large corporate law firms in Philadelphia, Michael has handled dozens of company acquisitions and sales, ranging in size from less than $250,000 to over $100 million, from the simple to the complex.  He routinely provides legal counsel in connection with the purchase and sale of collection agencies and debt buyers. 

As a business lawyer, Michael delivers solutions, not just offer “but on the other hand . . .” equivocations. He provides clients with real, practical solutions to their problems and challenges that arise at the intersection of legal matters and business issues. He helps both individuals and companies achieve their business and financial goals by taking a commonsense approach to legal matters, identifying practical solutions, while always seeking to minimize legal risks.
